DICKENS SHAKESPERE SOCIETY

At last Monday's meeting of the DickensShakespeare Society the president, Mr. Clement May, presided. A very interesting and entertaining lecture on Shakespeare was given by Mr. T. E. Cresswell, M.A. A good supporting programme of musical and • elocutionary items was also presented. The first item was a pianoforte eolo by Mrs. M. S. Galloway. The Khandallah Glee Farty sang "Hark, Hark, the Lark," and "Softly Fall." Songs were contributed by Miss 'E. Eussell, Mr. Sheavd, Mr. P. M. Brooker,'and'Miss E. Bath;-and recitations by Miss Z. Henderson and Mr. W. J. Mountjoy, jnn.
