CLOUDY AND MILD.
MORE RAIN LIKELY
During the week-end the weather was mostly fair, a moderate anticyclone having moved, gradually across the Dominion. The-winds have been light and variable, but sinco Sunday a shallow, depression has been slowly approaching, and lias caused dull, ini&ty conditions to develop, and sin-ec 'Sunday night rain has fallen in r many parts of tho North Island and in northern districts of , the South Island. Northerly winds havo set in; and have freshened somewhat from vCook Strait northwards.' Rather mild temperatures havo prevailed, but from Canterbury southwards tho nights .have been cold and frosty. Auckland had a fine day on Saturday, but it was. showery during Saturday night; Sunday was dull and unsettled, with showers ■in the morning. Tho weather was fair at Wellington during tho week-end, but Sunday- was' rather dull, and light rain set in during the early hours this morning, three points falling up to 9 a.m. It was fine.on both days at Christchurch' and Dunedin. ' '
The forecast is for moderate €0 fresh northerly winds, and for cloudy, rand in places misty or foggy weather, with rain in ,niost.' districts. Temperatures will continue mild.
