FLYING IN THE SOUTH

A busy week's flying was completed on Saturday ■by -Flying-Officer R. E: Money, of Hamilton, who arrived at the Rongotai Aerodrome in the morning from Blenhem. Speaking to a "Post" reporter, Mr. Money said that last Saturday morning he left Hamilton for Eotorua, where he picked up Dr. Hay, who had received an urgent call to Dunedin, and arrived at Dunedin' on Sunday evening after spending 9 hours 45 minutes in the air. On Tuesday he picked up Mr. E. B. Boucher,, of the Auckland Aero Club, and flow' with ' him to Invorcargill in two hours. Later in tho afternoon they left for Timaru, arriving there at 5 p.m., after a flight of 2 hours 15 minutes. At 9.40 o'clock on Wednesday morning they left for Christehurch, arriving there an hour later, and leaving at 11.25 o'clock for Blenheim which was reached at 1.40 p.m. Good weather was experienced on tho trip to Christehurch, but from there to Blenheim the conditions were described as ".dirty," the flyers being compelled to proceed round the coast, via Capo Campbell, at a height varying from. 600 ft to 100 ft. Bad weather also cruised a delay at Blenheim, and Mr. Boucher came across by steamer. Mr. Money left Blenheim at 9.50 a.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Bongotai at 1.30 a.m., beautiful weather being cxperiencod across the Strait. Mr. Money, who flics a Gipsy Moth machine, expects to loavo early this week for tho North.
