AN EVEN GAME.
A good, hard even game was played by Wellington College Old Boys and Oriental. Old Boys won by 6 points to 5. In the last quarter of an hour in particular, with Old Boys striving to hold their place and Oriental doing their utmost to take the lead, there was plenty of incident in the play. The Oriental full-back, Lochore, was called upon many a time, and but his sterling work the score against Oriental undoubtedly would have been greater. Among the Old Boys' players none is showing greater improvement than K. Ames, who played very well behind the scrum. Old Boys' six points represented tries by N. Grenfell and Bedell.
