"While Mr. B. Jones was driving a bi6tor-car from Tauranga to Te Puke on Thursday afternoon a hon pheasant flew into the windscreen, shattered tho glass, and fell into the rear seat of the car. Mr. Jones's sister and another young lady in the front seat of the ear had their faces cut by the broken glass.
