OPPONENT FOR MR. FORBES

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") ' ' CHBISTCHUiJCH, This Day. A meeting of Reform supportei-3 in the Hurunui electorate decided to submit to the Reform Party executive the nomination of Mr. W. T. Lindsay, clerk of the Waipara County Council, as the party's candidate to oppose Mr. Forbes. Labour has never had an official candidate for the seat, but it has been suggested that Mr. Hiram Hunter may be selected for the coming election. In a three-cornered contest at the last poll Mr. Forbes won by 1839 votes.
