ACCOUNTANCY STUDENTS
Accountancy students held- their, pubha speaking contest last evening, the .winner of the trophy presented by Mr. X- W, Hunt being Mr. R. A. Davison. ■ 'i Competitors had to write an essay upon a subject chosen by themselves, .answer questions asked by the members of the Accountant Students' Association, and then give an impromptu address. Ihe judge was Mr. C. A. L. Treadwell, 0.8. E. The speakers had to address four members of a partnership upon the advantages and disadvantages or'converting their business into a private limited company. The winner, Mr. It. A. Davison, wrote his essay upon "Purchasing and it? Relation to Stock Control,"* while the runner-up, Mr. JV Ca'dzow, 'chose "The Vajue o£ Accountancy to New • Zealand to-day."
