WINDSOR'S "CLOCKIE"
A FAREWELL PARTY Mrs. E. 'Elliott, Hataitai, gave a farewell party at her'residence last evening, when friends assembled to say "good-bye" to Mr. Robert Ward (known as "Windsor's Cloclcie"). Mr. Ward arrived in Zealand last April to spend** his 1 86th birthday with his twin brother} Mr. John Ward, of Masterton, which took place on the 18th May last. Duiing1 his stay he has visited the nawkes Bay, Manawatu, and Wellington districts, and will take back with him a fine appreciation of the hospitality of New Zealand people Despite his age, he is j very fit and well, and he sajs that the greatest day of his life was the day that he' arrivod in New Zealand. Mr. Ward left today by the Uhmaroa for Sydnoy, where he will connect with the Grama for his homeland. Mr. George Waid (brother), Mrs. Ward, and Mr. and Mri. W. Darvillo (Masteiton) camo to Wellington to see him off.
