NEW WELLINGTON LEAGUE

Travel may be enjoyable or vexatious, according to tho co-ordination. of the various bodies, transport agents, and officials. through whoso .hand- tho voyager passes. On Thursday, 23rd July, thero will be formed in Wellington the New Zealand Men's Naval ■ League. Thoso responsible for the- preliminaries in connection with its formation are Mr. G. W. Clinkard, manager of; the Industries and Commerce, Tourist and Publicity Department; Mr. -W. ■ Luke, of Canadian National Railways; and Mr. a. W. M. Stilling, Now Zealand representative- for the Australian National Travel Association. Membership, however, will include every form of travel and diversion organisation' or coutrol, such as -shipping, theatres, hotels, motor organisations, railways, aviation, and the Press. Such leagues are found valuable in Brisbane and Sydney. The object oi the-league is not specifically to further the commercial side of the activities of those represented, but rather to assure perfect co-ordination in making travel easier. The formation of the - league will v be accomplished at a' luncheon. Weekly lectures on subjects of interest to travellers will be given when tho' league settles down to work.
