ASSESSMENT OF DUTY
Judgment was reserved by Mr. Justice Beed in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon at the conclusion of legal argument in the case between the Saracen Shoe Co., Ltd., and the Minister of'Customs. The action raised the question whether the Collector of Customs was right in ruling that the plaintiff was not entitled to an assessment of Customs duty on the discounted prices of certain American footwear.
