NGAIO AFFAIRS

The annual meeting of the Ngaio Progressive- Association was held last night, Mr. H. L. Cummings being in the chair. There was an attendance of about 30 memIt was proposed by Mr. Lynncberg that as the section of road near the Kaiwarra. Post Office, was unduly narrow for traffic, a new road to Ngaio be formed at the back of the Texas Company's old oil store. The matter was left in the hands of the incoming committee. It was decided that the annual subscription be reduced from 2s 6d to Is. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted ae follows:—President, Mr. H. L. Cummings; vice-president, Mr. A. Franks; secretary, Mr. J. A. Glasgow; treasurer,1 Mr. ,K. S. Purvis; committee. Messrs. Prince, Mason, Irving, Davcy, and Button.
