KIRKCALDIE AND STAINS
At » private meeting of shareholders of" Messrs. Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd., last evening the shareholders _ were informed that the British and Allied Investment Corporation, Ltd., London, an English corporation, had made an oner for certain shares in the company. It was explained to the shareholders that it was optional upon them individually to accept or refuse the offer for their respective holdings. It was further explained that the Kirkcaldie family would still retain a substantial interest in the business and be associated with the management. In the future conduct of the business it would have the assistance of influential Knglish interests.
