AFFABLE STRANGER
TRUSTFUL NEW ZEALANDER PARTS WITH HIS MONEY (Received 13th June, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A New Zealander, who recently travelled from Wellington to Sydney, met an affable stranger aboard who conversed about big profits in his theatrical venture in Singapore, and induced the New Zealander to accept a partnership for £300. Upon reaching Sydney the-Ncw Zealander handed over £200 in New Zealand- notos to bo changed into gold. Tho stranger disappeared altogether with the money. Detectives arrested a man at Newton, and at the same time seized £136 in Now Zealand notes.
