ORIGINAL ATTEMPT
BANK ROBBERY AT DAIREN (Received 13th June, 11 a.m.) TOKIO, 12th June. An original attempt at a bank robbery is reported from Dairen. The night staff received a gift supper from an "anonymous friend," which was followed by severe pains leaving the victims in a precarious condition. Tho police arrested a Japanese, formerly in an official position, and at present head of a commercial firm. They also discovered a safe-breaking outfit.
