BRITISH WOMEN AGREE
STERILISATION OF UNFIT LEGISLATION DEMANDED (Eeccivod 13th June, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 12th June. Some 1200 delegates to the annual conference of the "Women's Co-operative Guild almost unanimously agreed to ■demand legislation to ensure the compulsory' sterilisation of the unfit. Mrs. Enever, of Leytqnstone, said: "We mustn't be squeamish about tho matter. Sterilisation is already much practised in the upper classes. Doctors a.re prepared to take the consequences. The nation's welfare must come before religious objections."
