TRUE PLACE THE HOME
FIELD BEFORE FACTORY MUSSOLINI'S IDEA United Press Association—By Electric Telflgrapu—Copyright. (Received 13th June, 11 a.m.) PARIS, 12th June. Signor Mussolini's view of woman's place in society is revealed in an interview with a French woman journalist, published in the "Petit Journal." , Mussolini declares that woman's true place is the, home, but owing to the present economic conditions, many are" forced to work outside. "I do not like to see women in factories and workshops. If they cannot remain at home, work in the fields is, the most suitable. 1 closely studied these problems, and I find that factory work for women brings irregularity in home life and a marked reduction in the birth rate. Women are now exempt from the celibacy tax in Italy, because I believe they are not spinsters from choice."
