TRAMWAYS BAND RECITAL.
! The Tramways Band will give- a' recital. at the St. James Theatre to-morrow evening at 8.15 o'clock. Patrons aro assured of an enjoyable and interesting night's entertainment. The management have, secured the. services of the brilliant soprano, Miss Maisic Moore, at present enjoying 'a short stay In Wellington, and who Is to return to America in tho near future, to fulfil engagements to the American broadcasting companies. Miss Mooro has previously toured ' New Zealand and Australiaunder engagement to 3. C. Williamson companies, with great success. Haho Tokl is always a favourite; and his sweet-silver-tenor voice will bo heard In bracketed numbers—(a) "Malrie, My Girl," (b) "Oh! Sweet Mystery of Life!" Jack Mitcholl Is an artist on the sylophoiie, aud his number will bo accompanied by the band, having been arranged by Mr. F. Crowther. Tho Patono Maori Quartet, instrumental and vocal party, in full costume, will give various numbers. Mrs. Sovellc,_ who sang pleasingly at previous recitals, will give "The Dancing Lesson." Bandsman Brownwill give items on his "Fleratone." ; Mis> 51'Davltt and Mr. Stopp will entertain with.' a duet, "Boss of My Heart." The band, under tho ablo conductorship of Mr. B. Franklin, has shown steady . progress, and their items should ho appreciated., _ •■ ; ■
