SKATING AT WINTER SHOW
In view of the advance in popularity of skating, arrangements have been made by a local organisation to transform the rink at the AA'inter Show buildinginto an up-to-date area for this fascinating pastime. The latest facilities for enjoying roller skating, at its best are to be provided, and in remodelling the area special attention is being given to tbe lay-out with a view to making the skating floor one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. The Royal Roller Skating Rink Company has taken over control, and an announcement is made on behalf of the management that in order to have the extensive alterations carried out the rink at the Winter Show will be closed until next Saturday. Everything possible is being done to provide tho public with the best means of enjoying this winter pastime, and attention is being given not only to the requirements of skaters but also to the need of onlookers. Attached to the main rink there will be two smaller rinks, the latter mainly for beginners, and at all times the services of expert instructors will be available. Further announcements are to be made regarding tho grand opening of the remodelled rink under the name of the Royal Roller Rink.
