APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE

Attention is being called _by the Breaker-Bay Progressive Association to a most deserving case requiring public assistance, that of "the widow of the late Mr. George Williams, who was drowned at Breaker Bay on 26th April. Mrs. Williams has been left absolutely destitute, and has neither friends nor relatives in New Zealand. She has three children, including twins, under the age-of four years, and Ts in a delicate state of health, being about to enter a maternity home.

The association has started^ subscription lists with a view to seeing that Mrs. Williams is provided with a home for herself and her children, and has opened a trust account for that purpose.
