GEORGETTI CUP

The Georgetti Cup, presented to the Wellington Bowling" Club ! by" "Mr. W. Georgetti, who now resides at Crissoge, Fornhill, Napier, was won .this year by Mr. X J. Hill' This beautiful silver cup, played, for- in- the club's singles championship, was presented by Mx-. Georgetti originally to the old Te Hiwi Club, but on the demise of that club the cup was presented to the Wellington Club, of which Mr. Georgetti was, and still is, a staunch supporter. Iv addition, the cup carries with it a gold medal. The- winner of the cup each year retains the medal, but the club holds the cup, wMch"_ has the winner's, name engraved on it.'. The- first competition took place in the: 1927-28 season, when the cup was .won by Mr. E. J. Hill. In the-next season it was won by Mr. Earl M'Kenrfe, and the following year by Mr.'- A. Duncan.
