SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY,
Notable work was done by Mrs. G. A. Ginn and her pupils at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday, when the audience cheered every item and demanded encores. The performers were: —Mrs. G. A. Ginn, Misses .Adams, Greig, Chamberlain, Lewis, Allen, Fair, Read, and Messrs. Dempster, Stuart, Maitland, and Lough. Mrs. G. A. Ginn and Miss Read were at the piano. Light refreshments were dispensed by the hostess and helpers. Mr. J. Moore, misBi'nner, spoke on "From tlie Press." Pledges followed. For the competitions, which retain their popularity, prizes were provided by the hostess.
