'.-,,■■ The Right Hon:'Sir Francis'Bell'gave notice of his intcn-tion-'to move that n message bo--forwarded'to the Houso of Representatives to the effect that the Council was within its rights', in amending the Mortgagors .Relief Bill. The .Government Railways . Amendment Bill was received from the House, read the. second time, pro -forma, and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. ■'..■■; -.-'■ : '■■■■.- \ Sir. Francis Jiell asked if the Council had power to amend the BilK ■•- The Speaker saidithe. Bill was one which could'be amended;:. • The Hon. R. -Masters- moved a motion, of sympathy in respect of the death of Mr. A. W. Hall, M.P. for Hauraki. He said Mr. Hall was a rnaiuof very wide experience and sound judgment.' He /was immensely popular amongst the ■members of the House, and the country had lost a very valued citizen.' . : The Hon. G. J.
