Such good progress has boon made with the surroundings of the "Wellington War Memorial, both in the fixing of the panels-and in. ' levelling the surroundings and paving the approaches, that by Saturday next, Anzae Day, it will be so near completion that.for the first, time there will be a finished cenotaph at which to pay homage. The actual dedication ceremony, however, is to take place- later. The. Wellington " Returned Soldieis' Association has. made . full arrangements for the parades of ex-service men. to march through the city, and for the first time to salute the finished cenotaph. 'The parades 'on this occasion will be by units, enabling men to meet after the lapse of years. Indications point to the old. regimental spirit being keenly alive, and good musters of the various units of the N.Z.E.F. are expected. The patades being in mufti, the various markers will hold a pennant showing the hiame of their unit. . Representatives of the Allied Forces will bo very wc-lcome, and will have a position- reserved for them. It is hoped that both the Imperial Forces and the Australian Forces will be well represented. In most cases ex-regimental commanders will be in chargeof their units. As tho South African Veterans, the Legion of Frontiersmen, and several bands will participate, it is expected that the combined parade will be noteworth)'.
