Medium crossbred 44/46, average and inferior, Id lower, hoarse crossbred, 40/44, average and.inferior, %d to Id lower. Low crossbred, 36/40, average and inferior, ; Yzd lower. Pieces and bellies, %d lower. Lambs, super ,%d lower; average Id to 2d lower. _ Messrs.'Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., offered 810 bales. As usual at the last sale there was a predominance of- wools in seedy condition, and practically no super style wools. A few lots of good lambs came under good competition from French buyers, who were also buying medium to good pieces freely. The strength of .the bidding mainly came from' Continental buyers. Wright. Stephenson and to., Ltd , in conjunction with Newton King, Ltd., offered 4796 bales. Prices .were slightly easier than those realised at the t'ecent" Wellington sale, and in comparison with the last sale in Wanganui were down about Id on ordinary fleece .wools, and lVz& on lambs and Southdown. i-The top price in the catalogue was for n : line of A A lambs sold on. account Jhs. Campion which realised 9%d. The best price for fleece wool was for a six-bale line of line crossbred branded CC-Tehue, dol/1 on account Mr. W.
