General hockey practice was carried out at Karori Park and the Pirie Street Reserve on Saturday afternoon by ladies and men's clubs, in preparation for the opening of the season on 2nd May. In a friendly game a Cnvterton team defeated a Wellington Wesley eleven by S goals to ■J Mr. C. Lloyd was the referee.
