BIBLE CLASS CAMP
•The animal Easter camp of the Wellington Presbyterian Young Men's Bible Classes was held this year on Mr. Cottle's property 'at Maoribank and at the V.M.C.A., Trentham. Although the camp suffered to; some extent through the boisterous weather conditions, nevertheless the 140 young' men spent a very enjoyable and profitable time.
" In the wind and rain, the advance party on Thursday experienced great difficulty in erecting the-tents and marquee. Thursday night was spent under canvas, and although a few tents were blown down, the majority of the campers managed to pass a fairly comfortable night. On Friday the V.M.C.A. buildings at Trentham were kindly placed at the disposal of the party, and the transfer was effected by noon. Mr. L. B. Quartermain delivered an address on the Friday evening. On Saturday morning Mr. F. E. Chappell addressed the campers, his study being" based on the Hawkes Bay earthquake. In the afternoon, the,grounds were too wet to hold the usual athletic sports. A basketball tournament was held..in the'defence gymnasium, and some very exciting games saw the Kelburn class as winners of the senior competition, St. Giles's class the intermediate, and St. Stephen's class the junior. The camp concert was held in the evening. ;
On Sunday morning the service was taken by the Rev. R. S. Watson, of Khandallah. The Rev." J. Hubbard, of Kelburn, conducted the evening service. The camp broke up early. on Monday morning.
