ALTERED PLANS

PORTER LEAVES TOMORROW

Mr. C. G. Porter's, plans regarding his trip abroad were altered after his arrival in Auckland. It was th© exAll Black captain's intention to proceed to Canada by the Aorangi, but he decided after making certain inquiries regarding the business upon, which he is proceeding overseas that it would be more advantageous to go to England before visiting Canada. He cancelled his passage by the Aorangi from Auckland and booked by the Tainui, which leaves AVellington to-morrow morning for England. Mr. Porter informed a "Post" reporter to-day that he had no intention of again playing football, although he would naturally bo a keen follower of the game. In the meantime., however, he was turning his attention strictly to business matters, and it was solely on this account that he was making the trip abroad. He proposed to spend some time in England and then to visit Canada.
