TARANAKI OILFIELDS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, This Day. Taranaki Oilfields report: "Drilling difficulties at Waitangi No. 1 continue. Have decided that directors will effect economy in time and money by moving plant a short distance to the north, and commencing a new well on the same structure. A considerable amount of preparatory' work already has been done on the iiew site, where the overburden of tertiary strata and uppermost shale, beds of cretaceous series, which were the main cause of the difficulties in No. 1 ay& nonexistent. Anticipated that di-illing conditions will prove quite satisfactory."
