BOXING.
Indications point to a very interesting and keen contest nest Tuesday evening at the Winter Show Boxing Stadium, when Harry Johus, of Auckland, .meets the ' American, Allan Whitlow. Word has been received by the Wellington Boxing Association, that . Johns has greatly benefited by his last contest with Donovan, and is showing much improved form in his training. The following preliminaries have been arranged, viz., Jacobs v. Reid (welter), Marshall .v. White (leather), Watson v. Petrie (light), Mansfield v. Patterson (middle), and Henderson v. Hedberg (feather). The box plan will open to-morrow at 9 a.m., and the day sales will be procurable as usual without extra charge. ■ ',
