ELECTIONS IN EGYPT
PREPARATIONS PROGRESS
LONDON, Ist April. The Prime Minister of Egypt, Sidky Pasha, told the "Daily Telegraph's" Cairo correspondent that preparations were progressing for the elections at the end of May. Although his opponents had proclaimed a boycott, it would be limited to professional politicians. The Egyptian masses would poll in at least the same proportions as at the previous elections. Thus the world would see the Waidist movement in its true The Government hoped after the elections to succeed in negotiating a treaty with Great Britain.
