MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Casei. at the 'Magistrate's Court were dealt with to-day by Mr. T. B. M'Neih S.M. Bessie Lodge, a domestic, aged 37, appeared on a charge of behaving in a disorderly manner while drunk. The accused went to Mount Cook Police Station at 3.3.) p.m. yesterday, and created a scene, said the Senior-Sergeant. She was under the influence of liquor and had no grievance. The Magistrate imposed a fine of £2. in default 14 days' imprisonment. Phillip Hayvice, an insurance agent, aged 30, was remanded to appear at Blenheim on 31st March on a charge of obtaining £20 from Charles Bartletl by false pretences.
