DATE AND VENUE DECIDED

QUESTION OF EXPENSE

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, 24th March. The Schneider Trophy race will take place on Saturday, 13th September, over tho Solent and Spithead. The Royal Aero Club, after a careful review of the facilities at each of the other suggested localities, which included the Humber, Belfast Lough, the Forth and Morecambo, has decided that the course chosen has proved the most suitable stretch of water for a safe and efficient conduct of the contest. In the British House of Commons, Mr. Frederick Montague, Under-Seere-tary for Air, in answer to a question, said the Government hoped that all extra expenditure on- seaplaneß, engines, and equipment for the Schneider Cup race would be borne privately.
