MINORITY LIBERALS
SIR JOHN SIMON'S VOICE
COMPLETE LIBERTY
LONDON, 25 th March. In a letter to tlie Spen Valley Liberal Association, Sir John Simon cites yesterday's division in the ranks of the Liberal Parliamentarians as bringing matters to a head, 17 members declaring themselves in favour of independent judgment on all questions o"n their merits -without commitment to support the Government. He adds that a large body of Liberal opinion outside Parliament will support this view.
According to a British official wireless message, at the close of Tuesday's meeting of the Liberal Party, which lasted for nearly six hours, it was officially stated that the party had agreed by 33 votes to 17 to support the declaration put forward by the party leader, Mr. Lloyd George.
