PROPHETIC LECTURES.
■ The Rev. William Lamb, of Sydney/has been drawing such good audiences to his prophetic lectures that nearly DOO people were turned away last night. To-night's meeting will be held In the big Town Hall, commencing at 7.45, and particulars are advertised. Mr. Lamb's subject to-night will be '"Mussolini and the Resurrection of the Roman Empire."
Last night Mr. Lamb spoke on -Russia and Great Britain, his lecture being illustrated by slides of life in Russia to-day. Mr. Lamb described what is being done by Russia to flood the world with cheap wheat and with antiGod propaganda. But, he said, the lot of the peasant and the worker in Russia to-day was far better than it,ever was. It was natural that they should attribute this to Communism combined with the anti-God movement taught in all the schools. In these conditions Mr. Lamb foresaw grave danger from the 150,000,000 inhabitants of Russia. The debased conditions of Russia-in the past, he said, was due-mainly to the superstitious perversion of religion under which the country suffered. ' What Russia needed to-day, was Christianity, pure and undeDled. '
