PHAR LAP'S SPELL

PROBABLY IN DOMINION

Latest advice received by Trentham trainer H. A. Telford about Phar Lap is that the champion is to bo sent to Now Zealand to winter, and will probably be coming after Easter. Phar Lap will not race here, but will be turned out on a suitable pasture.

It is the hope of his joint owners (Messrs. H. R. Telford and A. J. Davis) that the spell in tho land of his birth will revive in him the devil of his three-year-old days, and that ho will return to Australia for the spring racing as brimful of energy as he was at the beginning of the present season. No locality for the spell has yet been decided upon, but, unless intentions aro changed, it will'probably be near Wellington.
