MAN WHO DROVE OFF

CHRISTCHTTRCH, This Day.

William James Brown Parks was toy day lined £4, with costs, by the Magistrate, Mr. Mosley, for driving a truck in a dangerous manner.

The police alleged that Parks knocked a man down, stopped, put him on the side of the road, and then drove off.

Counsel for Parks said that the accused regretted going on, as he realised that a serious construction could be put on it.

The Magistrate: "The construction that he had more drink than was good for him."

It was stated that another action was pending.
