(by Telegraph.—Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, 24th Mafcli,
Flying the signal "URZ," which in" the international code means "Report mo all well," the yaw] Oimara (sine* reported by radio 150 miles from Sydney Heads) was on Saturday evening sighted 360 miles from Sydney by tna Union Steam Ship Company's Marama,,which arrived at Auckland this morning. When the Melbourne yacht was sighted by Mr. Seipcn, chief officer of the Marama, she was about three miles to the north of the regular track followed by Sydney-Auckland steamers. She was bowling along through a moderate but rather choppy sea.
"When Captain Sewcll was called he altered the course to pass within a hundred yards or so of the tiny craft. Ha also wished to ask if they had seen anything of the Teddy and the Eangi, but the Marama's passengers who lined' the rail were cheering the yacht sor loudly that it was impossible to hail her.
Judging from the smiles on the faces of the Oimara's crew and the- impromptu Maori halcas some, of them attempted on the rolling and very circumscribed • deck, which is almost wholly occupied by her high cabin-top, they were in the best of spirits. The breeze blowing was a leading wind for the yacht heading for Sydney Harbour.
As the Marama.turned away again on. her course the passengers gave three cheers for the crew of the yacht, who waved farewell. The yachts left Auckland on 14th March.
