SIR A. F. ROBERTS DECLINES
An announcement that he was uu-. able to accept nomination for tha Mayoralty of Lower Hutt for a second term has been made by Sir Alexander Roberts.
A committee, of which Mr. M. E, Denniston is chairman, recently asked Sir Alexander to stand for election' again, and the answer was deferred. Sir Alexander has now informed tha committee that he feels that he ia unable to do justice both to the Mayoral duties and his business.
