LIGHT SHOWERS
WEATHER UNSETTLED
Yesterday was a fair to cloudy day over most of the Dominion, light to moderate westerly or south-westerly winds prevailing. Since last night, however, there has been a slight fall in barometric pressure owing to tho arrival of a shallow depression. As a result, cloud and mist have increased, and light rain has fallen in most districts, more especially in those with a westerly aspect. This morning northerly winds were in evidence, and were freshening. After some e*arly morning ram, Auckland had fair to cloudy weather yesterday, but further rain fell there last night. In Wellington tho day w.as fine and pleasant, with a light northerly wind. It was cloudless in Christchurch early in the morning yesterday, but subsequently became completely overcast. A north-east breeze accounted for mild temperatures. Dunedin had a fine day yesterday with a light southerly wind. Present indications are for moderate to strong north or north-west winds, which will back later to the south-west. Cloudy and unsettled weather, with some showers at times in most districts, is to be expected.
