OLD BOYS' RUGBY CLUBS

The opinion was expressed by Mr. A. J. Griffiths at last evening's meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union that if there was something in the nature of an unwritten law laid down that college boys on. leaving school were to join up with their college old boys' football clubs, the .older clubs in the city would suffer considerably, and would not be able to recruit players. A similar view was voiced by Mr. H. MurMr. .T. N. Millard said that the boys were not compelled to join the old boys' clubs. As an example he referred to Wellington College boys. They were approached to join the Old Boys' Club just as representatives of other clubs asked players to join their clubs. The boys were not forced to join the Old Boys' Club, and in fact some joined other clubs.
