EX-SWIMMING CHAMPION

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. A former New Zealand swimming champion, Aubrey Ernest Baird, aged 24, was sent to gaol for three months to-day for converting two motor-cars to his own use.

Eonald Laurence Morrison, aged 27, a mechanic, on similar charges, was remanded for sentence.

Baird was also found guilty of stealing £4 10s at Ashburton.
