LIFE-SAVING EVENTS
Life-saving competitions were held at Lyall Bay yesterday afternoon by the Royal Life-saving Society. ihe Lyall Bay team won the Silver Reel challenge match, and the Worser Bay teSm took the Novice Cup. At Worser Bay, the home team won the Junior Cup. Ihe tollowiug were the results:— Silver Reel Challenge.-Lyall Bay (F. Muller, captain, J. Blakeley, R. Pelham, H. Dickson, B. M'lvor, W. Griffin, F.Mollier, and R. Pearce), 1; Maranm |(E B. Hughes, captain, C. Claridge, I. M Hardy, P. Stiver, F. Jackson, B. Eversleigh. K. Hoy, F. Chapman), 2. • - Novice Cup.—Worser Bay (Adams, A. Martlett, captain, S. Deaman, T. .Kendell, iG Bell, J. A. Ames, K. Jenkins), 1; Island Bay, 2; Lyall Bay, 3. The Junior Cup, held at Worser Bay, was won by the home team, with Island Bay second. The winning team consisted 'of J W. Newport (captain), K. Jenkins, E. Rowell, K. Wilton. E .Turvey, J.Stone, lA. Norton-Taylor, E. Adams.
