KHANDALLAH BEATEN

: Simultaneously with the inter-provin-cial match, the inter-club championships were played fit Mirainar grounds on Saturday. There was a big surprise in the junior grade, Lyall Bay beating the previously undefeated Khandallah team in a hard contest. Lyall Bay won seven of the eight singles, a fact which virtually gave them the match then and there. Results were:— JUNIOR GRADE. Newtown v. University. Newtown beat University by 9 matches to 2.
