TECHNICAL COLLEGES

The match between the first elevens of tho Wanganui Technical College and the Wellington Technical College was concluded at the Basin Reserve on Friday afternoon, the visitors being defeated by eight wickets. Wanganui in their second innings made 102, Meech being the most successful of the Wellington bowlers with five wickets for 45. Requiring 100 runs to win, the Wellington' boys made 105 for the loss of two wickets (Meech 49 not out, Thomas 35, and Mallard 15). Play in the match indicated that in these schools there is some very fine talent. The pupils of the Wellington Technical College were present at the match on Friday afternoon.
