TEACHERS AT AUCKLAND

With 250 ex-students of the AuckI land Training College unable to secure permanent posts, a suggestion has been j made that the Training College should close. | Mr. Burns,1 chairman of the Educa- | tion Board, disagrees ' with this, but | says that the Department should .have I restricted the entry to the profession this year. It appeared that .tho Department had over-estimated its requirements. Fewer teachers were resigning now, and some married women whose husbands were unemployed were re-entering the profession. On ' their grading marks they were entitled to positions. -
