Two a f three daughters who made applicatl on in the Supremo Court at the beginning of this month for provision to 1 oe made for their proper maintenance anil support out of the estate of theii? lato father, Keuben King, who died at the age of 99, leaving real and personal l estate worth over £0000, were awarded I an allowance by Mr. Justice MacGre gor, whose reserved judgment on the case was delivered yesterday. Tho ayj plioants were Mrs. Emma Mockridge, i of Petone; Mrs. M. B. Harrison, of Am ikland; and Mrs. Walters, of Taita. With the exception of a legacy of £5 0 to Mrs. Mockridge, none of the dfi ughters benefited under the will. On ■ the evidence placed before him. his Hi jnour decided that Mrs. Walters had n« )t made out a case for relief, and her clj urn was dismissed. On the other hand 'his Honour held that Mrs. Mockridge' was entitled to the further provision out of the estate of £1 weekly for 15 fe, and that Mrs Harrison also had ( :stablislied a claim for provision, whicj i his Honour assessed at 12s 6d wools ly for life. Tlj c residue of the estate under the eireu instances is to be exonerated from tho incidence of the order, and both of t he periodic payments ordered are (o lj c charged on the real estate of tho testator.
