A STUDY IN BLACK.
A reference to the defection of My. G-. C. Black, the member for jtfotueka, from the United Party was made by Air. J. S. Fletcher (Independent, Grey Lynn), in the course of a criticism of (he Government's policy, in the Jlonso of Representatives last night. "I hope that after I am finished the Alini.stcr of Labour will be another defection from the Government ranks to-day," said Mr. Fletcher. Later he said thnt the Prime Minister had painted a picture of gloom. A picture could not be painted without the colour of black, but there could be no picture all black.
