The Hank or New Zealand Produce Department has received the following advice from its London, office as at close of business (his week: "There is a steady trade in .wether mutton at rather better values. Smaller supplies of ewes have caused prices to harden. The market is firmer for second quality lambs, iirst grade remain steady. There is a better inquiry and the outlook is brighter. The market is short of supplies of beef, and prices are nominal. Wethers: Light, Slid to 4',4d per lb; heavy, 3d to 3V*d. Ewes: 2^d to 3%d. Lambs: 2's, Gd to 6 5-Sd; S's, Cd to 6 5-Sd; 4's, 6d to 6 5-Sd; seconds, olid to 534 d. Ox hinds, 3'4d to 3%d; fores, 2Md to 2%d. Cow hinds, 3d to 31: id; fores, 2V4d to 214 d." Messrs.
