WoftKingtoa (Auckland) • arc guests at the Granj Hotel. Mr. and Mrs.^T. P. Perry .(Masterton), Messrs. G. J. D. Stitt (Auckland), C. Hunter (Dannevirke), and- P, Hunter (Porangahau) are among the guests' at the Royal Oak Hotel. Visitors to Wellington staying at th» Hotel St. Ge v orgo include' Messrs. J. Gray, A. M. Major (Masterton), W. B. Lowes (Eketahuna), J. do Winter (Palmerston North), A... M. Burns (Christ* church), C. J. Brown (Melbourne), and J. JFoley (Auckland). Mr. W. J. P. Hodgkins, for eight years manager of tho Bank of New South Wales iii Auckland, has been granted leave of absence by. the board uutil the end of the year, when he will retira on superannuation after 48 years' service. Mr. Hodgkins has been stationed in various parts of Now Zealand, and for five years served in Australia. His previous managerial positions hayp been at Ashburton, Masterton, Tamwortk (New South Wales), and Invercargill. Advice has boon received that-Mr. S. J. Gaiulon, at -present .doing special duties in the London offieo of. the bank, and acting-secretary there for $ome, time, Fias been appointed to succeed Mr. Hodgkins.
