COTTON TEXTILES
QUEEN AT THE WHITE CITY
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, 16th February. Tho Queen visited the British cotton exhibition at White City to-day. She made a lour of the exhibits, in which she showed a great interest, afterwards expressing herself as delighted. She congratulated those- associated with the organisations, and expressed tho hope that the exhibition which is being held in connection with the British Industries Fair would have great success in stimulating trade. The Quqen watched for over half an hour the mannequin parade. Her Majesty then turned to Earl Derby, President of the Exhibition, saying: "It is astonishing. I had no idea that so many materials could be made from cotton." Later she toured the whole exhibition. There was a record attendance at White City of homo and overseas buyers. The Marketing Board exhibition includes attractive Australian and New Zealand stalls showing numerous products, and there is a brisk sale of carton samples of goods.
